Who Is Capitalize?

Capitalize is a trusted third-party platform we’ve partnered with to simplify and streamline retirement account rollovers for our clients. They specialize in locating old 401(k), 403(b), and other employer-sponsored retirement accounts and transferring them into your Altruist account(s).

What Does the Process Look Like with Advisor Wealth Management?

At Advisor Wealth Management, we’ve integrated Capitalize directly into our rollover support process. Here’s how it works:

  1. Let your Advisor know that you have an old retirement account to rollover
  2. We will initiate the rollover request in our systems.
  3. Confirmation Email
    You will receive an email from Capitalize once we start the rollover process. This email includes:
    1. A link to confirm personal details
    2. An option to schedule a brief call with a Capitalize specialist
    3. Learn more about the process here
  4. Capitalize contacts your custodian and manages the logistics of transferring the account into your Altruist account. They will coordinate all of the details on your behalf and reach out to you directly for approval.
  5. Support: Our team partners closely with Capitalize to ensure a smooth process. 

What to Expect During Your Rollover Process

When you begin your rollover with Capitalize, here’s what you can expect:

  • A secure, guided experience — completely free to you.

  • Email confirmation once your rollover is complete.

  • Occasional follow-ups requesting signatures or additional confirmation, depending on your previous provider.

  • A typical processing time of 1–3 weeks, though this may vary based on your original provider.
